Especially in spring training when you’re trying to make the roster. If I’m the manager I remember how “whatever” the player was on this play when it comes to who makes the final roster. I don’t know who the cutoff man was – if he’s an established player already guaranteed a spot or a minor leaguer trying to make the team. But if he was a “major league hopeful” he might want to work a little on his concentration. How you play on every play has a huge affect on whether or not you make the team.
