WBC pretty much = MLB/MLBPA since they’re the organizers and provide the funding. To my best understanding, the two series against the Hawks and the Dragons took place before the official start of WBC camps so MLBers weren’t allowed to participate, but they will play the final exhib series against the Buffaloes in Osaka on 3/2 and 3/3.

I remember being in left field at Wrigley when prime Pujols was taking BP for the Cards.
What, at first, seemed like a fun novelty… an enjoyable shared experience amongst others appreciating the sight of seeing a top level athlete perform at the highest level of ability for his craft.. all quickly, and terrifyingly devolved into mayhem as what seemed like artillery shells raining into a mass of unprepared civilians.
Moms screaming with babies in their arms.. broken nacho chips scattering through the air as leather encased missiles rebounded debris off the wooden bleachers and beer cups and souvenirs.
The mayhem and trauma only alleviated when the bombs cleared the entire stadium, or, by the grace of God, it was Daniel Descalso’s turn in the cage.

Back in the day at Dodger stadium if you hung around after the game, the visiting team would exit behind the third base dugout and you can get autographs. My friends mom was a diehard and took us to see Dodgers vs Cardinals and I got Pujols autograph on a ball. Being young and dumb, i didnt put it in something to preserve the auto and after time it faded to being unrecognizable unfortunately. But he was so cool and such a massive dude. Ill never forget it and Ill always love Pujols, especially when he played for the Dodgers at the end of his career.
