I think we are a much weaker team when he starts. His positional sense is terrible, he has no pace to beat a man and is easily bypassed. I don’t know what his natural position would be, I feel it would probably be a no10 where he could use his abilities to greater effect.

He looks a short arse on the pitch but is actually 5’11” which explains why he is decent in the air. I’d imagined he was about 5’6″ or 5’7″ so am a bit surprised.

I have no idea where the spark is coming from. Matsuki was poor midweek and Edozie has only shown brief glimpses of the player he was. Given we have gone with Larin then we absolutely need to play to his strengths so that means when he’s in the box putting crosses into the box for his head.

Tonda set us up to play 4-3-3. Downes, Bragg, and Jander bossed it. THB and Stevo played well. Bree was outstanding in defence and a calm head when needed playing out. Azaz with a forward line leadership performance. Larin played his role well… Matsuki with some clever play and crucial through ball for our first. Manning put in some good crosses and defended much better than he usually does. Peretz with a MoM performance and arguably save of the season.

Our approach now is pure simplicity. A capable GK, a consistent back 4, a strong target man and a solid midfield. That then allows us the foundation to have an Azaz, Leo, Matsuki, Edozie, Fellows etc doing what they’re good at. We’ve put ourselves in a great position…
