Don’t look now but Okamoto is having a great start to the season too. Sample size is small, but I’m glad both Japanese dudes are showing thus far that they more than belong here in the Majors. Start breaking that stigma that Japan is just a pitcher factory. People in there can hit too.

It is wild to me that teams thought SOOO poorly of this guy that he ended up on the White Sox. The same Sox that are bottom 3 throughout the league in FA designations. Ask yourself, when was the last time you gasped at a FA signing for the White Sox? Exactly.

Really shocked his market was so limited. Obviously there were red flags sure but he was one of japans most prolific hitters. At his price more teams should have gambled
