Nakatani didn’t allow Inoue to attack the body, and Inoue didn’t allow Nakatani to land those uppercuts from various angles. The battle for distance between them was absolutely thrilling. It was a truly great fight: Inoue once again proved he is the strongest, while Nakatani proved his true value by going toe-to-toe with a legendary-level boxer. I respect both of these great fighters not only for their boxing, but also for their character.
中谷は井上にボディを打たせず、井上は中谷に色んな角度からのアッパーを打たせなかった。両者の“間合いの取り合い”が本当にスリリングだった。最高の試合だよ。井上は改めて最強を証明し、中谷もレジェンド級のボクサーと真っ向勝負することで自分の真価を示した。ボクシングだけじゃなく、二人の人間性も含めてリスペクトする。
Inoue’s defense in those first six rounds or so was beautiful.

I have never seen stab jab where the boxer had to almost do the splits to hit the body of his opponent. Inoue, he did that a few times during that fight that was nutss. That shows the athletic ability of inoue. Crazyyyyy
ほぼ開脚しながら相手のボディを突き刺すジャブなんて見たことない。井上はあれを試合中に何度かやってた、イカれてるよ。井上の身体能力の高さを物語ってる。マジでクレイジー。
スタブジャブ＝鋭く突き刺すように打つジャブ。低く踏み込んで打つため、まるで開脚（スプリット）するような姿勢になったことを言っている。
In the post-fight interview, Inoue said he eased off a bit since he and his corner felt they had already won the early rounds, but he ended up losing rounds 8, 9, and 10.
試合後のインタビューで井上は『序盤のラウンドはもう取れたとコーナーと判断して、少しペースを緩めた』と言ってた。でも結果的に8・9・10ラウンドは落としたらしい。
Inoue is not only a super computer in adjustments, hes the master of excentuating exchanges to make sure he comes out on top… he probably has the best most educated jab in boxing we’ve seen at an elite level in a long time. He would throw a jab to the body, bring it up top and then turn the same hand into an uppercut.. who the hell does that? Charlos cant even pull that off.

中谷潤人、敗れて評価爆上がり ―「井上の最強の敵だった」
To me it seemed like nakatani was inoues toughest opponent. This was one of the only fights where inoue didnt walk down the opponent many times. The reach, speed, and power nakatani had made inoue fight safer and throw when he can land. Though donaire was his biggest beating, inoue still landed more on donaire than on nakatani
個人的には、中谷は井上にとって一番厄介な相手に見えた。井上が相手を何度も“追い詰めて歩かせる”ことができなかった数少ない試合のひとつだ。中谷のリーチ・スピード・パワーが、井上を慎重にさせ、当てられる時だけ打つスタイルに変えさせた。一番ヤバいダメージを負ったのはドネア戦だけど、それでも井上はドネアより中谷の方が当てられなかったんだ。
ドネア＝ノニト・ドネア。井上が2度対戦し、初戦で大苦戦した名王者。「中谷の方が当てさせなかった＝それだけ中谷の防御も良かった」という趣旨。
Nakatani pressed Inoue like no other. He will become a monster in his own right..
中谷はこれまでの誰よりも井上を追い込んだ。あいつはあいつで、いずれ“モンスター”になる男だよ。
Seeing the inoue haters seething and coping is so funny. The reason nakatani “started slow” Is because of inoue. If he went all in, most likely he would have been floored
井上アンチが歯ぎしりしながら現実逃避してるのが面白すぎる。中谷が“スロースタート”だったのは井上のせいだよ。もし全部入れにいってたら、たぶん逆に倒されてた。
People say the fight might have been different had Nakatani picked the pace or shown less respect early on, but it takes time for Nakatani to gauge Inoue, who is just much faster at figuring out opponents, and that’s the difference in class.
『中谷がもっとペースを上げて、序盤から遠慮せず行ってれば展開は違った』って言う人がいる。でも中谷が井上を見極めるには時間が要るんだ。一方の井上は相手を解析するのが圧倒的に速い。そこが“クラスの差”だよ。
nakatani has a very flowy and graceful offense just like bam. it didnt matter in this fight against inoue. of course, junto had success, goes to show that pound for pound fighters are a step above everyone else. inoue just showed levels to this, especially in the later rounds.
中谷の攻撃はバムみたいに流れるように優雅だ。でもこの試合の井上相手にはそれも通用しなかった。もちろん中谷も手応えはあった。それでも“PFP上位の選手は一段上”だと証明された形だ。井上は特に後半、格の違いを見せつけた。

I agree that Nakatani found success after he stepped up, BUT Inoue making the adjustment to put himself up again is what really showed us the level that he is at.

FYI, inoue said he didn’t care if he loose the 8-10 round and trying to hit him some counterpunch, that was his planning. And nakatani actually got broken orbital bones from Naoya’s uppercut in round 11.
補足。井上は『8〜10ラウンドは落としても構わない、その間にカウンターを当てにいくのがプラン』だったと言ってる。そして中谷は実際、11ラウンドの井上のアッパーで眼窩骨を骨折したらしい。
