For those wondering why he’s being changed despite doing a good job, Moriyasu has been in charge for 9 years, a mammoth thing for international football these days.
In fact, he wanted to let someone else take over the reins but the FA asked him to do one last competition.
The change is for generational renewal.

外から見てる人間の素朴な疑問（自分はポルトガル人）なんだけど、大岩ってどれくらい good なの？
I’ve seen quite some games from the U23/U21, don’t expect much tbh… He’ll most likely be really similar to Moriyasu, I doubt he’s the kind of manager Japan’s NT needs to make the next step… (but I’ll gladly be proven wrong of course)
